How do I see Jesus?

By Clayton Davis

Insightful contemplation
Regeneration
Wistful exhilaration
Without explanation

Beyond imagination
Total relaxation

Freedom

It’s not a joke

By Clayton Davis

It’s Here
It’s There
It’s Everywhere
When I close my eyes
All I can see is despair

It’s in their faces
It’s in their stride
Just making it through the day
Helps them survive on their pride

Another drink, another toke
All their pain is not a joke

When I look in the mirror, what do I see
But by the grace of God, there goes thee
Because of God’s love, I am free
For He sent Jesus to die for me

He took my infirmities, my guilt, and my shame
And wiped them from His sight
With unmerited love, mercy and grace
I now live a life worth living
A life that is in His light

Who's the Boss?

By Clayton Davis

Ask yourselves:
Am I doing what would give praise to Jesus?

All my thoughts, all my actions,
All my reactions,
Do they give praise to Jesus?

When You died on that Cross
You came to save those who are lost
Oh, who am I, to act like the boss
Was it me, or was it You
Who gave His life on that Cross?
Oh, who am I, to keep acting like the boss?

Forgive me, Father
Let the reality set in
For it was me
Who was living in sin

You died so that I could live
There is nothing, nothing I can do
Without You
All my thoughts, all my actions,
All my reactions
Shall give praise to You

Oh, praise You, Jesus—praise You, Jesus
For it was You who died on that Cross

Let the reality set in, praise be to Jesus
That it is You Who is my Boss

So many words

By Clayton Davis

There’s so many words
Put them front to the back
Then put them back to the front
Add a flood of tears

Dear Jesus, I ask You
My exalted Creator, erase my fears

65,000 miles an hour
1,083 miles a minute
What is it,
What is it that
l can do
To show You
My true love for You?

Cover to cover, it’s all inside
Dear Jesus, You have nothing to hide
I never paid nothing for this extraordinary ride

I thought I had nothing to offer
But You showed me how to reach you
Thoughts from my heart that bring
Honour to You

Precious Jesus
Lord and Saviour
My Redeemer
Counsellor and Healer
